Our foundational belief is that
society is enriched by the inclusion
of people with Down syndrome.
Club 21 is pleased to offer these services:
Club 21 helps families thrive by providing the encouragement and resources they need. Family Support offers weekly open play groups to welcome parents of babies and young children, parent chat nights, peer social events, sibling support, networking with families, connection to community resources, and IEP support.
Core Classes foster the foundational skills essential to every child’s academic and social development. Every Child a Reader provides one-on-one literacy tutoring, and Club Connections supports the development of additional skills through small group enrichment classes.
School Support connects parents and teachers to the resources necessary to make inclusion successful. The Mod Pod, a resource center equipped with state of the art tools and technology, enables modification of curriculum to meet each child’s needs and abilities. Outreach Facilitators provide school and classroom consultations, and Down syndrome awareness presentations.
Club 21 also provides current and practical information to families and educators through Sign Language classes, Down syndrome age-specific and topic-centered workshops, teacher training, monthly literacy nights, and the annual Tools For the Journey conference.
