The LA Parks Department has too many classes, programs and facilities to list here
and they are not permitted to discriminate against people with special needs in any of
their programs.  (NB, the regional center will provide adult assistance to special needs
children for out-of-school programs, public and private.)  In addition, LA Parks has three
therapeutic centers designed specifically for people with special needs with programs
that vary from center to center but include Spring, Summer and Fall Day Camps and a
Young Olympians Program for children 5 years and over, as well as an After School
Care Club for children with special needs who are 2 ½ years and over.

The Josephson Academy of Gymnastics
The Josephson Academy of Gymnastics offers classes of all sorts from dance to gymnastics to a high school musical class.  They also offer camps as well as preschool programs and a mommy and me class.  The classes are open to children of all abilities, though adult assistance may be required.

LA Phil and the Hollywood Bowl
The LA Phiilharmonic and the Hollywood Bowl have several educational programs for children and families.  Summer Sounds at the Hollywood Bowl features great concerts and programs of music and dance from around the world created especially for kids as well as a Fine Arts Outdoor Studio where they can let their imaginations soar.  It is offered in July and August and is designed for children of all abilities ages 3 to 10.  (This sells out fast, so sign up for the Summer Sounds mailing list to get the earliest possible enrollment.)  Toyota Symphonies for Youth is designed especially for families to make the experience of symphonic music come alive for children ages 5-11.  Before the concert there are numerous activities for the kids, including hands-on art making, musical activities, dance, and storytelling or theater.
