
Terry Brown has worked with children who are not typical learners for 12 years and has developed a successful and innovative program to teach individuals with Down syndrome how to read, write and understand math concepts, as well as language development and social skills. She has a successful private practice in Orange County teaching reading and other skills to children and adults with Down syndrome. She began this work ten years ago and in 2001 she was recognized by Parents Regional Outreach for Understanding Down Syndrome (PROUD - now Down Syndrome Association of Orange Country) as their Educator of the Year, and she is known by many for her innovative educational skills.
